WORCESTER City's unbeaten league run came to an end as they were comfortably beaten by Team Bath at St George's Lane.
A calamitous first-half error from goalkeeper Danny McDonnell, when his clearance rebounded off Josh Llewellyn and into the net, set the visitors on their way.
Mike Perrott doubled the visitors' advantage 12 minutes from time.
Marc Cannham also blazed a second-half penalty wide for Team Bath as the West Country students returned to the top of the Blue Square South table.
For City, who would have climbed into the play-off places with a victory, it brought an end to a seven-game unbeaten sequence and leaves them with just two victories on home soil this season.
The dismal performance was also a far cry from Saturday's 2-0 victory at Havant and Waterlooville as Richard Dry-den’s side failed to seriously test Team Bath keeper Alistair Hines.
Illness ruled Jon Richardson out of his first game of the season, the defender being re-placed by Jemiah Richards, while Dave Bampton returned to midfield after recovering from the same virus.
Both sides were unproductive in front of goal in the first-half but Team Bath were the better side and enjoyed the lion’s share of possession.
Michael McGrath provided a moment of inspiration for the hosts on 15 minutes when he burst into the penalty area but Hines was quick off his line to smother at the midfielder’s feet.
The visitors took the lead in bizarre circumstances on 29 minutes when McDonnell made an uncharacteristic blunder. The City keeper received a back-pass on the edge of his six-yard box and had plenty of time to deal with the situation but instead smacked his clerance against the approaching Llewellyn and the ball cannoned into the un-guarded net.
The error silenced the crowd and knocked the stuffing out of Worcester. To make matters worse, it was the only real effort of note on goal in the first-half for either side.
Bampton was suffering the effects of his virus at the weekend and was replaced three minutes later by Gary Walker, who deputised so ably for him at Havant.
City started the second-half strongly and McGrath’s free-kick was helped over by Hines on 51 minutes. However, from then on Team Bath dominated.
Dean Smith fired wide from 25 yards before the visitors squandered a glorious opportunity to double their lead on 64 minutes.
Ollie Barnes lost possession in the area and brought down Llewellyn trying to make amends. Barnes was booked but Cannham failed to take advantage and planted his penalty wide of McDonnell’s right-hand post.
Adaggio was put clear by Rob Davies on 75 minutes but was flagged offside in a rare foray forward for the hosts.
Ged Roddy’s men finally got a deserved second when Perrott met a cross from the left and headed the ball across McDonnell and into the net.
