HEREFORD RFC have appointed Jim Shields as their first Community Rugby Coach.
The Midlands Two West club have called on the retired policeman to attract more players in the 16-24 age group into rugby and to encourage those who have previously played the game back into the sport.
Forging close links with local schools and colleges, he will also have responsibility for coaching youngsters currently with Hereford and developing girls’ rugby the at club. Shields has had 16 years of coaching experience.
