BROMYARD Town grabbed three valuable points at Gornal Athletic with a well earned 1-0 win in the West Midlands League Premier Division.
The crucial goal came in the first 30 seconds when Lee Thorp got behind Gornal’s defence and neatly chipped the advancing keeper.
Chances fell to both teams for the remainder of the match with Gornal having slightly the better of it.
But the visitors defended in numbers with the ever-green Joe Maidment at the back marshalling his defence throughout.
Bromyard’s stand-in keeper for the day James Robinson also did well in his first appearance for the club.
