TERRY Jenkins suffered disappointment in the Scottish Players Championship’s second day after his thrilling Sky Poker World Grand Prix run.
The Ledbury ace, who reached the semi-finals in Dublin before losing to Phil Taylor, went out in the third round at the Magnum Centre in Irvine.
Jenkins had a bye over the injured Peter Allen and beat Robbie Parker 3-1 before succumbing to Tony Eccles 3-1.
James Wade won the final 3-1 against Mark Walsh.
But on the first day, he made the semi-finals, falling 3-2 to eventual winner Alex Roy after seeing off Danny Pinhorne, Kevin Dowling and Kevin McDine (all 3-0) and Mervyn King and Andy Hamilton (both 3-1).
Roy defeated Denis Ovens 3-2 in the final.
