THIRTY-four teams took part in the sixth annual Ladies’ am-am at Ombersley GC.
The weather remained dry and plenty of people commented on the excellent condition of the course.
Sandra Pomeroy the ladies’ captain from Ombersley inspired her team to victory. The winning fourball, which came from the Ombersley, Worcestershire and Bransford golf clubs, was Janet Gore, Pomeroy, Ann Wilson and Leslie Lamos.
The team of Sue Tamblyn, Jean Marshall, Fiona Hudman and Joan Malim — from Tewkesbury Park GC — came second, while third place went to a combined Droitwich GC and Sapey GC team of A Macey, B Clinton, J Brinsford and J Currill.
Pomroy also organised a successful raffle for The County Air Ambulance which raised over £220.

Eighth hole: June Tollett (Gay Hill).
Eleventh hole: Lynn Mamos (Aberdovey).
Seventeenth hole: Helen Lane (Ombersley).
Longest drive (sixth and eighth holes): Sally Wilkinson (Aberdovey).
