MICHAEL Hall starred with five goals as Warndon Villages Scorpions Under Nines beat Oldbury Park Tigers 6-0 in the Mercian Festival Junior League.
Scorpions’ goal drought ended in spectacular fashion with Jordan Cornes also on target in the Division One clash.
UNDER 10s: Hayden Lewis bagged a hat-trick as Warndon Villages Tigers defeated Droitwich Spa Rhinos 4-1 in Division One.
Tigers have now registered back-to-back victories and notched all their goals in the first-half with Mark Wilson the other scorer.
Callum Daniels was man-of-the-match.
Leigh and Bransford Badgers Rangers scored a late goal to defeat Cradley Sports 1-0.
Rangers pressed but could not find a way past a determined defence for long periods while keeping out Sports at the other end.
Both sides hit the crossbar before Ted Hill rose above his marker to head home the only goal from Josh Smallman’s cross.
UNDER 14s: Welland Juniors stormed to an 8-0 Division One win at Worcester Raiders with Luke Wellham netting a hat-trick.
Keeper Ryan Williams kept a clean sheet for the second week in a row aided by his fine defence.
Welland dominated the first-half and led 5-0 at the interval before a more even second period.
Will Chambers (2), Joe Hargreaves (2) and Charlie Wasley scored the other goals.
Man-of-the-match was the hard-working Myles Powell.
UNDER 15s: Northside Colts produced an excellent display to win 3-0 at Ombersley Terriers in Division Two.
Colts opened the scoring mid-way through the first-half when Ollie Booth fired home from the edge of the box.
Colts increased their lead just before half-time through Jack Porter.
Terriers caused problems in the second period without really troubling keeper Jake Glass.
Matt Giordani shot home at the far post to complete the scoring, while Tom Wilkins also went close.
Well-organised Warndon Villages Wildcats Girls saw off neighbours Worcester City Wanderers 3-0.
Wildcats opened the scoring through Emily White from Hannah Philpotts’ right-wing cross.
City were restricted to long-range efforts with keeper Sammi Meese pulling off one fine save as Katie Sampson and Fran Colarossi caused problems.
Philpotts broke down the right again and provided Wildcats’ Ellie Gerhold with the second goal.
Gerhold increased the advantage in the second period as her 25-yard free-kick drifted into the net.
Becky Lewis impressed in midfield for Wildcats with Hannah Thain testing the keeper from distance. Colarossi was girl-of-the-match for City, who produced a good team display but were unable to make the most of their chances.
