County hockey champions: King’s School Worcester Under 16s.
KING’S School Worcester Girls Under 16s are looking forward to the Midlands hockey finals next month after being crowned Worcestershire champions.
A comfortable 5-0 victory over St Mary’s ensured they pipped Bromsgrove School to the title with Nicky Monk (2), Lucy Gurney, Amy Bateson and Lily Hallett scoring the goals.
King’s also beat Chase Technology College, Malvern, 1-0 with Monk on target and played out a nail-biting draw with Bromsgrove School, who could not score enough goals in their final match.
