CHRIS Latham will be rested for Worcester Warriors’ European Challenge Cup trip to Romania to play Bucuresti on Sunday (2.30pm BST) — but young guns Matt Mullan and Miles Benjamin are ready to return to the squad.
Australian legend Latham has made a full-blooded start to his Warriors career and has been given a well-earned rest to recover from bruising to his hand.
However, Sixways director of rugby Mike Ruddock will be calling on dynamic prop Mullan and wing Benjamin, while the Welshman also hopes to have flanker James Collins and full-back Chris Pennell at his disposal.
Ruddock said: “There are a few injuries which will restrict some of the rotation we can do but overall there will be a pretty strong panel — there will be a few changes though.
“Pennell is 50-50 and he did some limited training with the squad yesterday, but we won’t know until today if he’ll make it.
“We are probably more hopeful with James and it looks like he could make the bench. Jake Abbott is not registered, so will miss the first phase.”
