EVESHAM Men recovered from two goals down to grind out an important 3-2 victory at rivals Droitwich in BodyKraft West Midlands Division One.
Despite never playing to their potential, Evesham showed character and determination to stay top of the table with a 100 per cent record from two games.
The first-half ended goalless with both sides struggling to find any rhythm in their play.
Droitwich took the lead through a piece of individual skill from Mike Brazier and extended the advantage at a short corner.
Evesham were stung into action and Seb Seneque stepped into midfield and was pivotal.
Martin Husbands deflected a ball into the path of Dave Crouchley, who scored a debut goal.
Shortly afterwards, Stuart Harris’ rising shot was volleyed into the net by Husbands to equalise.
With 10 minutes left, Simon Bostock found Husbands and he turned to shoot home the winner which killed off deflated Droitwich.
