BROMSGROVE demonstrated their new-found resilience and belief with a 15-10 win at Stratford in Midlands Two (West).
In an excellent 15-minute spell in the second-half, skipper Richard Arnold and Richard Stockholm scored crucial tries.
Chris Hurcombe made a welcome return at prop and Sam Bastock took the inside-centre position.
Nick Wright and Kev Foster dominated the aerial battle in an otherwise disappointing first period.
Stratford scored two tries through simple pick-and-go moves but Ben Copson slotted a penalty to narrow the gap to 10-3 at half-time.
The second-half saw Alex Fellowes come on for Hurcombe and Richard Stockholm moved from wing to scrum-half.
Bromsgrove took five minutes to get going and then delivered the match-winning 15 minutes. Arnold swooped from Duncan Roke’s pass after a line-out and several rucks.
The conversion was missed and Bromsgrove trailed 10-8.
But then Roke and Dan Quinn combined for Stockholm to score the winning try and Copson converted.
