PEGASUS Juniors’ winning three-game run ended with a 3-2 home defeat to Carterton in the Hellenic League Premier Division.

Juniors went behind after five minutes when they gifted the visitors’ Tom Fletcher a simple goal.

But they showed renewed resilience and levelled the scores before half-time through striker Tom Harding, a new signing from city rivals Westfields.

The hosts then took the lead on the hour mark and appeared to be continuing their fine form.

Rob Laurie headed in his fifth goal in three games from Ben Price’s right-wing cross.

But two defensive errors in a 12-minute period cost Pegasus the match.

Dave Rogers, looking suspiciously offside, struck a mis-hit shot to level and then Danny King tapped in the winner five minutes from time.

Pegasus head to Shortwood United tomorrow night for a league encounter.
