DESPITE having been beaten 9-1 when the two sides met two weeks ago, Malvern battled to a 1-1 home draw against Marlow in British Gas Business Division One Midlands.
However, Malvern would have been fearing a repeat when the visitors took an early lead through Jermaine Roche.
Roche soon found himself free again, but Craig Humphries was quick off his line to get in the tackle.
Marlow continued to press and in the 37th minute a free-kick from 40 yards out was crossed into the box to Colin Simpson who grazed the crossbar with his shot.
The second-half saw Malvern stung into life. In the 50th minute, good work between Jamie Hyde and Chris Allen saw the ball crossed into the box and, although it was cleared, it fell to Hyde again who slipped the ball into Scott Morris, who slammed it home from 15 yards.
In the 75th minute, Drake came rushing out of his area and was chipped by Morris, but the ball went wide.
Marlow still looked dangerous on the break and it needed another good save by Humphries five minutes from time.
