STOURPORT Swifts host Arlesey Town in British Gas Business Division One Midlands on Saturday looking to register their first home win of the season (3pm).

Neil Hunt’s side have lost both of their matches at Walshes Meadow to date, going down 2-1 to both Soham Town Rangers and Sutton Coldfield Town.

However, it has been a different story away from home with 2-1 successes at Woodford and Malvern giving them a 100 per cent record on the road.

Swifts know they have to put their home struggles behind them against Bedfordshire-based Arlesey, who have picked up four points from their first four matches.

Just one of their points has come away from the Chateau Roux Stadium.

Stourport chairman Chris Reynolds said: “We need to be stronger at home. Our record at Walshes Meadow hasn’t been good of late so we need to improve on that.

“I am fairly pleased. We are looking a lot better. Generally, the squad is coming together now and looking fairly good.”

Swifts are likely to have an unchanged squad from the one that won 2-0 in the FA Cup at Racing Club Warwick on Saturday as striker Ashley Robinson, signed from Rugby Town, looks for his first goal.

Fellow forward Duncan Willetts is nearing fitness following knee surgery but left-back Adam Robinson is due to have a scan on a stomach muscle problem.
