DEFENDER Keith Lowe has pledged himself to Kidderminster Harriers for the season after signing a one-year deal with the Aggborough club.

The towering 22-year-old had joined Harriers on a non-contract basis two weeks ago following a spell on trial in pre-season.

And, after three impressive performances at right-back, he became one of manager Mark Yates’ top priorities before the close of the transfer window.

Lowe said: “I’ve been impressed with everything I’ve seen since I’ve been here.

“I like the way the club is run and there’s a great set of lads here. It wasn’t a difficult decision to make for me.

“The standard of football is high and we’re looking to push on. I think we’ve got a good lot of players in the dressing room.”

Lowe has plenty of experience at Championship and League One level with the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Burnley, QPR, Swansea City, Cheltenham Town and Port Vale.

He signed for Harriers, despite strong interest from Luton Town, and should feature against Torquay United at Aggborough on Thursday night live on Setanta Sports (7.45).

Harriers also extended the loan of West Bromwich Albion left-back Lee Baker until early January.
