WORCESTER City are looking to appoint an independent consultant to oversee their annual general meeting.
The meeting is due to be held this month although a date has still to be set by the St George’s Lane club.
The consultant will be tas-ked with managing proceedings, expected to include eight nominations for election to the board of directors from the Shareholders Action Group and Supporters Trust.
A bid to reach a compromise between the Blue Square Sou-th club’s board and the Share-holders Action Group broke down nearly two weeks ago.
City chairman Dave Boddy said: “We haven’t got a date for it yet, we are still working towards it. It’s not a straight forward AGM, just getting it right is the key. It will happen.
“The nature of the meeting is important and complicated and it has to be done properly.
“As soon as we have a date we will let people know.”
Boddy also said the meeting would see the club’s accounts, currently five months overdue at Companies House, brought up to date.
He said: “The objective of is to have two sets of accounts so we will be completely up to date with the May 2008 accounts at the AGM.”
