LEDBURY thrower Terry Jenkins picked up his form with a great run through to the final at the Players Championship in Koningshof, Holland.
Jenkins was eventually beaten 3-0 by Phil Taylor, who recorded back-to-back PDC Pro Tour victories after beating James Wade 3-1 the previous day at the same venue.
The Herefordshire player took home £2,500 for his efforts in a first tour final since June 2006 at the Las Vegas Players Championship.
Jenkins, the world number five, overcame Wayne Jones 3-1 in the semis and also enjoyed 3-1 wins over Kevin Painter and Germany’s Bernd Roith during the event.
The previous day, he went out in the third round with a 3-0 defeat to Tony Eccles.
Today, Jenkins faces Wayne Mardle, Colin Lloyd, Alan Tabern, Taylor, Roland Scholten, Wade and Andy Hamilton in the Championship League Darts.
