Evesham Utd 0, Farnborough 0
A SCRAPPY contest didn't deserve a winner but it will be the Robins who will be far happier with the point gained against second in the table Farnborough.
Once again Evesham more than matched their highly regarded opponents and will consider themselves unfortunate not to have laned all three points.
Danny Hodnett and limping skipper Steve Lutz hedaed over first half efforts while Gary Hay and Michael Hayden both had shots saved.
Nathan Vaughan wasn't severely tested but did make one splendid stop to smother a dangerous cross from Michael Charles.
Hayden saw a 48th minute effort flash across the face of goal while Vaughan saved comfortably from Ryan Scott.
Iain Sercombe replaced Lutz after 56 minutes and, with almost his first touch, blazed a great chance over the crossbar.
The substitute then fired a right-footer a foot wide of Lyall Beazley's right-hand post while Simon Fitter's free-kick landed on top of the visitors' goal.
The Hampshire outfit used all three substitutes and could have snatched all three points a minute from time when Leigh Rumbold shot over after racing clear.
