WORCESTER City Women have been awarded the charter standard for an adult club.
Pre-season training is well under way in preparation for the opening match of the season in the FA Cup against Pegasus Ladies on Sunday, September 7.
City achieved their award after being recognised for a number of achievements.
They won the inaugural women’s futsal competition and went on to the national finals.
City were also runners-up in women’s Umbro Fives. They have run two women’s teams offering football to a wide range of players and supportive the Girls’ and Women’s Football and Action Group.
Chairman Debbie Band said: “We are delighted with the award, which is a result of the commitment of players and a dedicated group of committee members, coaches and volunteers who all work very hard at the club.”
Anyone interested in joining this season can contact Debbie Band on 07952-498738 or Vicky Andrews on 07921-131220.
