JUMP jockeys will show off their skills in another sport as they contest their annual charity football match at Worcester Racecourse on Sunday, September 7.
In addition to six National Hunt races starting at 2.20pm, the Ladbrokes Northern Jump Jockeys will take on the Arena Leisure Southern lads for the annual game.
This year, it is in aid of Wayne Burton, a conditional jockey who was seriously injured in a fall at Exeter in March.
Televised by ATR, Luke Harvey will also be in attendance to commentate.
It is hoped Burton will be able to come along on the day. There will be an auction of money-can’t-buy prizes in the winner’s enclosure between each race with racing host Roger Hart as auctioneer.
The gates open at 12.30pm with a free children’s entertainment area including bouncy castles, football games, face painting, clowns and a stilt walker.
