HIGH-flying Eastnor travelled to Bransford for a Crusader Worcestershire League Division One clash and secured a comfortable 24-point win after a dismal batting display by Worcester Nomads.

Eastnor batted first and openers Jabran and Adeel found runs hard to come by off the accurate seam bowling of Damon Gariff and Liam O’Driscoll.

Gariff made the breakthrough, having Adeel well caught by Dean Oliver.

Geoff Taylor joined the attack and he quickly removed Jabran for 32.

Faisal soon followed, again off Gariff, caught by wicketkeeper Sam Roberts for 11.

Ben Schiffmann then had Arshad lbw for 20, but Atiq continued to score freely as wickets fell all round him.

Eventually, he, too, was lbw to Schiffmann for 81 as Eastnor posted 201-8.

The second innings belonged to Eastnor veteran Shahid. He bowled unchanged from one end and the Nomads batsmen had no answer as he finished with 8-53. Nomads were 109 all out.
