PERSHORE Town were a poor second to a more aggressive and competitive Knowle in a 3-0 Midland Combination Premier Division home defeat.
The early exchanges were even with few chances at either end, but Knowle took the upper hand and went in front on 41 minutes.
A poor clearance by keeper Barry Mclean fell to Nick Oakley who struck the ball into an empty net.
Knowle increased their lead on 48 minutes through striker Scott Oliver who later completed the scoring.
Meanwhile, Westfields missed a great opportunity to register their first Midland Alliance win of the season.
They lost 1-0 to Causeway United at allpay.park after conceding a 16th-minute penalty and missing a string of chances.
Stuart How put Causeway ahead from the spot after Alex Hunt had recklessly brought him down.
Westfields had a chance to draw level but Scott Jackson blazed over from six yards and Jamie Cuss hit the post.
