PERSHORE Town can have no complaints after losing 2-0 at Stratford Town in the FA Cup extra preliminary round.
Pershore started off the better of the two teams but, slightly against the run of play, Stratford took the lead on seven minutes.
A left-wing corner was played to the far post where Richard Munday lost his marker to send a looping header over keeper Barry Maclean.
Pershore started the second-half with much more purpose and had early chances to draw level but poor finishing let them down. Lee Hooper went close on three occasions.
Stratford showed their superiority and again, against the run of play, increased their lead on 77 minutes.
A sweet-flowing move down the right set up Ramone Stephens to give him the simplest of chances to slide home from eight yards.
