THE weather once again frustrated Worcester as it prevented a result when victory seemed a certainty.
The Worcestershire League Division One clash with Redditch had sufffered at the hands of the rain throughout the day but play was finally abandoned with Worcester only 64 runs short of victory with eight wickets in hand.
Having won the toss Worce-ster put their rivals on a pitch which looked like it would asssist the seam bowlers.
However, Redditch began well against the opening bow-lers and had reached 40-0 bef-ore being skittled out for 125 with James Padden taking 4-9 in six overs.
With hope of reaching the target before the rain intervened Dan McKay hit 33 but the rain ended the match leaving Worcester stranded on 62-2.
