IN a rain-affected match at The Bottoms, Pershore achie-ved a winning draw against fellow Crusdaer Worcester-shire League Division One strugglers Astwood Bank and gained a welcome 11 points in their quest to avoid relegation.
After winning the toss, skipper Lee Wilks put the visitors in and with the exception of Dan Evans (54), they could not cope with an accurate Persh-ore attack as they closed on 131-7 with Sam Howell and Lachlan McKenzie each taking two wickets.
Pershore’s reply was interrupted by the rain meaning they didn’t have enough time to claim victory as they closed on 78-6.
