DIRECTOR of Rugby Mike Ruddock has made one change to his 12-man squad as Worcester Warriors prepare for the Middlesex Sevens at Twickenham tomorrow.
Ruddock has handed a call-up to exciting young back-row Jake Abbott, a product of the Sixways academy, and he replaces lock Will Bowley who will now be involved in the clash with Doncaster Knights the following day.
Warriors finished as runners-up last season to Newcastle Falcons and have drawn Bristol in the first round in this year’s competition (kick-off 12.20pm).
Ruddock has selected a squad with an exciting mix of experience and youth with fly-half Matthew Jones set for his debut and the team led by scrum-half Matt Powell, who will be playing in his 12th Middlesex Sevens competition.
Warriors Sevens Squad: Jake Abbott, Tom Wood, Matt Cox, James Collins, Matt Powell, Jonny Arr, Matthew Jones, Marcel Garvey, Miles Benjamin, Alex Grove, Charlie Fellows, Greg King.
