KIDDERMINSTER Harriers manager Mark Yates insists there is no crisis at the club despite their disappointing start to the season.
Harriers have taken just one point from their first two games — a 1-1 home draw against Blue Square Premier new boys Lewes and 2-1 defeat at Cambridge United.
Tomorrow they face a tough-looking trip to a Mansfield side who have gleaned four points from matches against Histon and Ebbsfleet United.
Yates, though, has confidence in his players and believes victory will provide them with the catalyst for the rest of the campaign.
He said: “We’ve got to re-group. We’re not out of anything yet and we’ve got tremendous belief in the camp.
“We’ve got to get that first win and when we get that we’ll be better. There is plenty of work to do, but we’re not in a crisis yet.”
Left-back Lee Baker, on a month’s loan from premiership new boys West Bromwich Albion, is on track to return to the side after missing the Cambridge defeat through injury.
Baker, 19, took a knock to his knee during the opening day draw with Lewes but the injury is not thought to be serious after a having a scan at his parent club.
Mansfield, managed by Billy McEwan, are expected to name an unchanged team from the one which beat Histon 1-0 on Tuesday. Jason Lee scored the winner in that game and was also on target in the opening day 2-2 draw at Ebbsfleet United, along with former Harriers midfielder Michael Blackwoood.
Blackwood, who left Aggbor-ough in the summer, has been joined in the Stags’ squad by fellow ex-Harrier Gavin Hurren and forward Anthony Robinson, who spent a brief spell at Worcester City during pre-season.
