WORCESTER Warriors director of rugby Mike Ruddock has named an exciting 12-man squad for the Middlesex Sevens at Twickenham on Saturday.
Warriors finished as runners-up last season to Newcastle Falcons and have drawn Bristol in the first round of this year’s competition.
Ruddock has selected a squad with an exciting mix of experience and youth for the Sixways-based side’s first competitive outing of the season.
New signing Matthew Jones will make his Warriors debut at Twickenham and the team will be captained by scrum-half Matt Powell.
The squad contains several players who played in the Middlesex Sevens last season, including England Sevens ace Marcel Garvey, back row dynamo Tom Wood and wing speedster Miles Benjamin.
Young stars such as Matt Cox and James Collins, who have both represented England at Sevens, Alex Grove, Charlie Fellows and Greg King have also been given a chance to shine by the Warriors coaching team.
Warriors: Will Bowley, Tom Wood, Matt Cox, James Collins, Matt Powell, Jonny Arr, Matthew Jones, Marcel Garvey, Miles Benjamin, Alex Grove, Charlie Fellows, Greg King.
