THE 2024 Modus Challenge Cup takes place this Sunday (December 8).
The annual competition pits local rivals King's Worcester and RGS Worcester against one another, giving both sides the opportunity to play at a Premiership Rugby level stadium, at Sixways.
This year sees the 17th iteration of the competition, as defending champions King's Worcester will look to hold on to their title, having won in dominant fashion last year, with a 34-8 score line.
An expected crowd of around 4000 pupils, staff, alumni, friends and family will pack into Sixways stadium, with coverage also available on line - provided by @NextGenXV.
King's Worcester go into the game in hot form, having won nine of the 11 fixtures they have contested so far this year.
Their strong season has seen triumphs over strong rugby schools such as Monmouth, Sir Thomas Rich and Bloxham.
RGS Worcester have also enjoyed a winning campaign, claiming victory nine times in their 14 games. In that period they have been out sides such as Trent College, King Edward VI, Christ College, Sir Thomas Rich and The King's School Gloucester.
In Daily Mail Trophy competition, King's Worcester sit in eighth position, and are hoping for a top ten finish come the end of the season. RGS currently lie in 65th position of the 153-strong competition.
The contest kicks off this Sunday (December 8) at Sixways Stadium. Gates open at 12pm, before action kicks off at 2pm.
