WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY CRICKET players have returned for pre-season training.
The players have a five week block of training leading up until Christmas, ahead of an enhanced training program in the New Year, heading into the 2025 season.
Joining the squad for training is new signings, Ben Allison and Fateh Singh, alongside returning Supporters' Association Player of the Year and Tom Graveney Players' Player Award winner - Gareth Roderick - who has re-signed until the 2027 season.
Worcestershire enjoyed a great campaign last season, finishing sixth in the Vitality County Championship, the highest position achieved by the side since the two division split in 2000. They also reached the quarter-finals of the Metro Bank One Day Cup in the same year.

Speaking on the return to training, Worcestershire Head Coach Alan Richardson said: "A lot of them have really looked after themselves during this last seven week period since the end of the season. They have made sure they are in pretty good condition because they want to hit the ground running.
"We’ve got a nice mix of guys who are away and some that are staying here and everyone will be working incredibly hard to try and keep evolving their game. This period has just been more of an opportunity for them to re-set and not to have to be in at the ground, and they can do things at their own pace.
"They can also try and get that life balance back just for a little which that they don’t have during the summer when it’s pretty all encompassing. That is really important for them.
"I think it is really important for them to utilise this block still from the end of season up until Christmas to make sure they enjoy themselves as much as possible and get that balance right whilst still aiming to be in as good a position as we can for the start of the season."
