FORMER Worcester Sixth Form College student, Laura Blindkilde Brown, has received her first call up to the Lionesses senior squad.
England manager, Sarina Wiegman is missing a number of her typical players - including Lauren James, Ella Toone and Lauren Hemp. However, this has allowed Blindkilde Brown the opportunity to impress.
Leicester City's Ruby Mace has also been given her first call up alongside Blindkilde Brown.
Here it is! 🤩

Your #Lionesses to face 🇺🇸 & 🇨🇭 this November and December...
The side will play against Emma Hayes' USA team at Wembley on Saturday, November 30, before then taking on Euro 2025 hosts Switzerland in Sheffield at Bramall Lane.
Speaking ahead of the fixtures, Wiegman said: "This is an important international window for us to continue our work to be ready for next summer’s Euros.
"Every minute of these two games and every moment spent together at St George’s Park is to make sure we are where we need to be when the tournament begins on July 2.
"As we continue our preparations we want to test ourselves against the very best and that is why we have carefully selected the USA and Switzerland. They are two opponents who will challenge us in different ways this window and that is exactly what we want."
The 21-year-old has previously represented England at various youth levels from under 17s to under 23s, and made the move to join Manchester City from Aston Villa at the start of 2024.
She got her senior debut playing for Birmingham City against Manchester United in 2019, before moving to Aston Villa and winning their Young Player of the Season award in both the 2021/22 season and the 2022/23 season.
Blinkilde Brown has played seven times for City in all competitions this season, most recently scoring her first goal of the season against Hammarby in a 2-0 Champions League win.
Speaking on both Blindkilde Brown and Mace, Wiegman said: "Young players and very talented players. They have done very well in the U23s and it's an opportunity to see them in this environment. I hope they start competing straight away.
"It is part of football. You want the best players in your squad but sometimes they are injured. Other players then have the opportunity to step up."
