WORCESTER CITY WOMEN play away at West Bromwich Albion Women, this Sunday (November 24), in the Adobe Women's FA Cup.
This tie represents the second round proper of the competition, and Cities' third game in the FA Cup this season.
There will be numerous quality sides competing in ties across the country, the winning sides will look ahead to the fourth round where Women's Super League teams will enter the tournament.
The fourth-division side entered the competition in the third qualifying round, dispatching Redditch Borough 2-0.
They then faced up against Stamford in the first round proper.
The Stamford game was a stern challenge for Worcester City, and it was a back-and-forth tie which saw both sides take the lead at points.
City spent much of the game trailing to Stamford, however the side showcased their resilience to come back from the deficit and win the game 3-2, courtesy of a brace from Annie Highway off the bench.
City were able to enter the competition at a later stage this season than they have previously, by virtue of their promotion to the Women's National Division One Midlands.
Last season, their cup run saw them beat Walsall Wood, Anstey Nomads and Rotherham United to qualify for the second round proper, where they eventually bowed out, losing 3-0 to a strong Milton Keynes Dons side.
They will be hoping that a strong performance can help them go one step further this time around.
West Bromwich Albion currently play their league football in the Northern Premier Division, one tier higher than Worcester City.
Based upon the sides' current league standings, West Brom sit 14 places higher than City.
In their last game in the cup, West Brom won 7-1 away from home against Knowle Ladies.
Worcester City will look to bring their hot form from their last fixture with them into the tie, where they made a statement 4-0 victory over Lincoln City to move out of the relegation zone.
City scored either side of the half time break, with a first-half brace for captain, Jess Fassnidge, and one goal each for Leah Ritson and Keeley Crew in the second half.
"I think all the girls are buzzing," said Fassnidge after the game. "Moving forward it will just take that momentum, it will lift everyone's confidence massively."
