WORCESTER CITY FC play away to Wellingborough Town tomorrow night (November 5) in the Northern Premier League.
Last time out, City recorded a 2-1 victory over Coleshill Town. Kyle Belmonte grabbed the winner in stoppage time, with manager Chris Cornes hailing the teams "never say die" attitude after the game.
Speaking ahead of their Wellingborough game, Cornes said: "We are confident any game. Wellingborough have had a very good start, they're on a good run at the minute."
Despite Wellingborough's positive start to the season, Cornes remains confident of his sides abilities going into the fixture.
"We have been on a really good run of form," said Cornes. "We beat Long Eaton and Shepshed, we lost to Sporting Khalsa but we were very dominant in that game, it was probably our best performance."
Worcester seem to be flying high right now, but Cornes is keen to ensure his side keep their feet on the ground, saying: "You can be as confident as you can but there can always be a blip around the corner. A red card, a few injuries or something, so you can never look further than the next game."
With the game tomorrow, City will hope to move one step closer to their initial goal of placing in the playoff spots at the business end of the season.
"For me the business end of the season is February, March time," said Cornes. "I am quietly confident we will be there or there abouts."
