WORCESTER CITY FC triumphed 2-1 over Coleshill Town thanks to a last minute winner.
Worcester were the dominant side for large periods of the game, initially taking the lead through Charlie Wise. Coleshill drew level in the second half, before Kyle Belmonte grabbed the winner in the second minute of stoppage time.
"Kyle ran 40-50 yards thinking I want to be on the end of this," said Worcester manager Chris Cornes. "Its that desire and that heart that keeps you going throughout games and he has got that in abundance.
"He gives you that dynamicness and that never say die attitude that my teams are built on."
In the latter stages of the game, the result could have gone either way with chances for both teams to grab the winner.
"It was probably tighter than it should have been," admitted Cornes. "I think we probably could have been two or three up at half time, but towards the end they had a chance as well so we could have come in on the flip side of that.
"For the neutrals it was a good game. If you are going to choose how you win a game, and you are definitely going to win it, it would be a last minute winner. But we are happy that we put another three points on the board."
The result sees City rise up the league table even further, and places them in third place - well within a playoff spot come the end of the season.
"We are just taking each game as it comes," said Cornes. "We had a bit of a blip where we lost a few on the bounce, but luckily teams around us lost at the same sort of time. We didn’t really lose too much ground.
"We’ve got up to third but we don’t read into that too much. Teams below us have got a couple of games in hand and stuff like that. But were in and around it."
"“Ultimately, today was a great result with some really good performances."
Worcester City play their next game away at Wellingborough Town on Tuesday (November 5).
