Worcester City Women FC will play Stamford AFC in the first round proper of the Adobe FA Cup on Sunday, November 3.

The side come into the game in good spirits, having triumphed over Redditch Borough in the final qualifying round of the competition. In a hectic game which saw outfielder Jess Fassnidge don the goalkeeper gloves and step in between the sticks following an injury to Sofia Stolt, Worcester eventually ran out 2-0 winners.

They will be hoping to put together a decent cup run, following last years competition which saw victories over Walsall Wood, Anstey Nomads and Rotherham United, before eventually bowing out following a 3-0 loss to Milton Keynes Dons.

The side have endured a tough start to their league campaign thus far, losing seven of their opening nine games, however following a strong showing in a 3-3 draw to Sutton Coldfield Town they will harbour hopes of the tide changing.

Stamford also come into the game in hot form having won 4-0 against Long Eaton United in their final qualification game, as well as grabbing 16 goals in their last two games in the East Midlands Women's Regional Football League.
