A campaign is offering free one-day fishing licences.
The 'Take a Friend Fishing' initiative aims to encourage more people to take up the hobby, with the scheme running over the festive period and into spring.
Current licence holders can register on the Environment Agency website to receive the free day-long licence.
The campaign, which has been extended for 2024/25, gives more opportunities for people to fish with friends.
The festive period for the campaign will run from Saturday, December 21 to Sunday, January 5, and the spring campaign will run from Saturday, March 29 to Sunday, April 13.
