Head along to an open weekend celebrating quintessentially English sports in Cripplegate.
Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in bowls and croquet, courtesy of the Cripplegate Bowling Club.
Taking place on the weekend of September 21 and 22 from 11am to 4pm at Cripplegate Park, the club will offer free sessions and supply all equipment for both sports.
Attendees only requirement is to wear flat-soled shoes to preserve the bowling greens.
The club, a fixture in the park for over 80 years, is hoping the open weekend will raise awareness of its facilities in the community.
The club invites those interested in joining the club as well as those looking for a leisurely game among friends.
Guests will be able to meet club members, enjoy refreshments at the pavilion and listen to the tunes of the Cathedral Bells in the background.
The open weekend serves as an opportunity for both newcomers and those eager to refresh their skills to take part in these classic sports in a friendly setting.
Diana Jones is the point of contact for anyone interested in participating by calling 07767 390 840 or on Facebook (www.facebook.com/cripplegatebowlers).
