WORCESTER City continued their 100% league record this season with a 3-1 over Loughborough Students.
City travelled to Leicestershire to face the university-based side at the Loughborough University Stadium on Saturday (August 24).
Manager Chris Cornes made one change to the side that beat Racing Club Warwick on Tuesday with Liam Lockett replacing Calvin Dinsley.
After a period of pressure from Loughborough, City drew first blood 27 minutes in.
Lockett's run behind the back line opened up a square ball to Kyle Belmonte who passed it into the net from close range.
City were almost two goals up just minutes later when Charlie Wise struck the woodwork after a corner.
The first half came to a close with relatively little action aside from a yellow card for Nathan Haywood after a heavy tackle.
Loughborough were pinned back by City for much of the opening 15 minutes of the second half, but the visitors were unable to find a breakthrough until the 63rd minute when Elliott Hartley made it two.
Liam Lockett earned his second assist of the match with a low ball across the face of goal which Hartley was able to get enough on double the lead.
The hosts pulled one back five minutes later with a header from substitute Dlodlo putting City under pressure to find a third.
Belmonte came close to his second of the match in the 78th minute, but his shot found the wrong side of the post.
The visitors were under pressure from Loughborough as they looked for an equaliser for the rest of the match.
City substitute Izak Reid was able to put the game to bed in the third minute of added time with a strike from outside the box.
Victory means City have three wins in three matches and go second in the table.
The side are back in action on Monday (August 26) as they host Lye Town at Claines Lane.
Lye lost all three of their matches in the league so far this season, including an eventful 4-3 defeat to Boldmere St Michaels on Tuesday (August 20).
