Droitwich Spa extended their win streak to four with a 3-1 away victory over Cheltenham Saracens.

Goals from Perry Moss, Cory Rudd and Alex Dugmore saw the Saltmen cruise to victory at Petersfield Park.

The Saltmen emerged as the more threatening side from the outset, with Sauntson missing a header early in the game.

Droitwich were fast out the blocks, with Jamie Sauntson getting the hosts' goalkeeper sweating as early as the second minute, heading narrowly over from a corner.

The Saracens struggled with the surface as much as they did with the Spa's attack, with Dugmore, Moss and Charlie Tilley all piling on the pressure with some near chances, with the latter being cleared off the line.

Moss broke the deadlock with a goal at the 24-minute mark, when an excellent pass from captain James Lemon paved the way for the winger who skillfully glided the ball past the advancing goalkeeper Daniel Brabham.

The hosts responded nicely moments later, when Saracens' Stuart Midwinter launched a low drive, foiled by a top-notch save from Dominic Rogerson.

The Saltmen almost doubled their lead with a great link up from Tilley and Lemon, denied only by another strong hand from Brabham.

Following the half-time break Stuart Midwinter's effort from 10 yards hit the post with Rogerson beaten, however Spa punished them for the missed opportunity as they countered, with Nathan Binner laying the ball off to Rudd, who doubled the lead with a low drive from range that found the bottom corner.

Five minutes later the referee pointed to the spot in the penalty area for a suspected push in the box for Cheltenham, however Midwinter was once again denied, this time by Rogerson who guessed the right way to save the spot kick.

Soon afterwards Dugmore's attempt was blocked by Brabham and a following overhead kick from Moss did not meet the mark.

However, the match was secured at 72 minutes when Dugmore shrewdly rolled the ball around Brabham and in off the inside post after a splendid pass from Lemon.

The last shot at goal for the Saltmen fell to Josh Hurdman, whose effort ricocheted off the woodwork.

Saracens got on the board as a deep cross found Taylor, who did well to score with a stunning effort, but it was little more than a consolation.

Droitwich Spa will face newly promoted Carterton at Kingys on Saturday at 3pm a Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One clash.
