WORCESTER City will kick off their 24/25 campaign at home to Anstey Nomads on Saturday, August 10.

The Northern Premier League announced fixtures for the upcoming season on Thursday (July 18). Worcester City are set to play in the Division One Midlands, the eighth tier of English football.

The Nomads will make for a difficult test for the newly promoted City. The Leicestershire club finished second on 88 points last season, losing just twice during the regular league phase and missing out on promotion in the play-off final against Harborough Town.

August will be a busy month for City, featuring home games against Racing Club Warwick and Lye Town, as well as away days in Darlaston, Loughborough and Corby.

City's furthest away game next season will come on Saturday, September 21, with a 210-mile round trip to Grantham Town. Grantham is also the largest stadium in the league with a capacity of 7,500.

To give non-league clubs the best opportunity to reschedule any matches postponed by weather or pitch conditions, City's last scheduled 7.45pm midweek match is at home to Sutton Coldfield Town on Tuesday, October 8.

Just one team relegated from the seventh tier will be in City's league next season: Long Eaton United. The Blues lost 28 of their 40 matches last season, conceding 109 goals along the way. City will face them away from home first, on Saturday, October 12, before hosting Long Eaton on Saturday, January 25.

The festive period will see City welcome Walsall Wood to Claines on Boxing Day, before their shortest away journey of the season to Lye Town in Stourbridge on New Year's Day, a round trip of around 40 miles.

City's easter weekend will begin with the visit of Corby Town to Claines Lane on Saturday, April 19, followed by a visit to Walsall Wood on Easter Monday (April 21). City's visit to Wood's Oak Park ground will be the final away day of the season.

The final day of the season will be Saturday, April 26, when fellow promoted side Loughborough Students will visit Worcester.

The full set of fixtures can be viewed on Worcester City's website.
