Worcestershire Women's Rapids have suffered their first defeat of their ECB Women’s County 50 Over Group Three campaign to Cricket Wales.
The club suffered a bitter 204-run defeat away at Panteg.
After opting to bat, the Welsh side went 256-3 in their 50 overs, thanks to a series of scores between 20 and 63 in their top five.

Spinner Phoebe Brett delivered a solid performance for the Rapids with the ball in hand, ending with 1-37 from her 10 overs, while Imogen Hill and Bryony Gillgrass also took wickets, each ending with figures of 3-0-15-1.
Despite success at the crease in their opening games against Birmingham Bears and Oxfordshire, the Rapids' batting fortunes dwindled.
They faced a swift and abysmal dismissal for a mere 52 runs in 17.5 overs, with none of their batters managing to reach double figures.
The Rapids’ next chance to claim victory will be on Sunday, July 14, when they play host to Dorset in another 50 over clash.
