WORCESTER City Women will have two teams in the Worcestershire FA County Cup Final as both the first team and development team won their respective semi-finals on Sunday.
City Women thrashed Bewdley Town Ladies 7-1 at Sixways whilst the Development team cruised to a 4-0 win over Malvern Town Women at the HDAnywhere Community Stadium.
The WFA County Cup Final will therefore be contested by both Worcester City Women teams at the headquarters of the WFA, Claines Lane, on April 28.
Starting with the first team, they were always big favourites for the contest with Bewdley. And it was quickly apparent that it was going to be a tough day at the office when Jess Fassnidge put them ahead after just 12 minutes.
Holly Rogers then scored a remarkable 22-minute hat-trick to make it 4-0 at half-time and, ultimately, finish the game off with 45 still to play.
At the same time over in Malvern, the Development side were also proving to be too much to handle for their opponents as goals from Lauren Smith and Tinny Conway had them 3-0 up at the break.
Bewdley did pull one back at Sixways early in the second-half, but that only fuelled City's hunger for more goals.
Fassnidge, Olivia Mitcham and Laura Davies all scored to complete a convincing 7-1 win for City.
Alice Finley also got on the score sheet for the Development side in Malvern as they booked their place in the final with a 4-0 victory.
It will be a celebration of a hugely successful season for Worcester City Women when the two sides meet at Claines Lane at the end of April.
