STOURPORT Swifts hit five past local rivals Bewdley Town on Boxing Day to bring their winless league run to an end in convincing style.
Swifts came into the derby with Bewdley on the back of a 3-0 defeat at Midland Football League Premier leaders Congleton Town on Saturday, which followed three score draws either side of their 4-1 FA Vase success at Eastwood Community.
But they picked up their first MFL Premier win since mid-November with a clinical display against the league's bottom side.
Adam Hanson and Goodluck Eze both scored twice, with Ethan Hanson also getting on the scoresheet in the 5-0 victory.
Quentin Townsend's men sit seventh place in the table, just two points off the play-off spots and with three games in hand on AFC Wulfrunians, who they take on this Saturday at the Prestige Midlands Arena.
As for Bewdley, they look destined for relegation from Step 5 with just four points in total after 14 defeats from 16.
