THE ongoing sale of Worcester Warriors to new owners Atlas remains incomplete as the administration process continues.
Administrators Begbies Traynor confirmed in a letter to creditors on Tuesday that the "period of administration has been extended".
The sale of Sixways Stadium and the club's assets was completed in May, but Begbies remain "in office" as they await the remaining funds from Atlas.
They have been told to pay the rest of the £2.05m by October 9. There is still £1.18m left to pay before the purchase is complete.
Begbies began work at Sixways back in September 2022 when the club went into administration. They continue to undertake investigations into the company's - WRFC Trading Ltd - affairs and the conduct of the company's directors (Colin Goldring and Jason Whittingham).
Atlas - Jim O'Toole and James Sandford - now have until the October 9 deadline to complete this deal before the sale is thrown into doubt.
O'Toole and Sandford had said elite-level men's rugby would be returned to Sixways for next season but as it stands, the only teams playing at Sixways in 2023-24 will be the Worcester Warriors Women, Worcester City Women and Worcester Raiders.
