WORCESTER City have confirmed the signing of former Halesowen Town and Redditch United striker Jamie Insall.
Insall, born and bred in Worcester, will be reunited with City manager and good friend Chris Cornes, whom he played with at the likes of Littleton, Pershore, Redditch and Stourport Swifts in his early playing days.
The non-league maverick, well known for his no holds barred approach on social media, also played for Westfields - City's opponents in the league on Tuesday night - and according to records, he has scored 111 goals across his stints with those local sides mentioned.
The 31-year-old striker has gone on to play in the Scottish League One with East Fife and featured in Champions League, Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League qualification matches in a successful spell with with Cymru (Welsh) Premier side Connah's Quay Nomads.
Insall most recently played a pivotal role in helping Halesowen Town gain promotion from Step 4 and into Step 3, scoring the winning goal in the play-off final. He then moved to Redditch ahead of the 2023/24 season but has left after just four games.
Redditch boss Matt Clarke was full of nice words for his now ex-striker, however.
Thank you Jamie. From everyone at @RedditchUtd we would like to say a big thank you for your effort during your short spell with us. A lovely lad and we wish you all the best at your new club ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

City confirmed on Tuesday that the player has been registered in time to feature in Tuesday night's Hellenic League Premier clash against Westfields at Claines Lane (7.45pm kick-off).
Insall will be yet another top-quality striker to have played levels much higher than this one City currently find themselves in and Cornes' attacking options have grown further.
City's forwards: Jamie Insall, Dylan Hart, Liam Lockett, Elliot Hartley, Reiss Taylor-Randle, Kyonn Evans, Kyle Belmonte, Izak Reid, Robbie Thompson-Brown and Zaq Hussain.
Cornes is going to have his work cut-out trying to give everyone game time and it is likely that some of those players will move on to find more minutes.
