TEAM England and Worcester City ABC member Caitlyn Wise has reached the semi-finals at the European Junior Championships in Romania.
16-year-old Wise, competing at her first games for her country, beat her Greek opponent Lamprini Giannakopoulou in the quarter-final of the Female Under 52kg category.
It was a bout that went the distance out in Ploiesti but Wise won the contest by split decision to set-up a semi-final tie and secure herself a medal at the very least. #
The competition, which is all streamed live on YouTube, was followed by the club through Wise's fight, and they were clearly very happy with the overall result!
Wise will now face Ukranian Taisiia Pokusai in the semi-final, after she won her fight with the home favourite Natalia Maria Semeniciuc in their last-eight tie.
That fight between Wise and Pokusai will take place on Thursday, July 27, where both will be dreaming of reaching the gold medal match on Sunday 30.
