KIDDERMINSTER Harriers are one game away from a return to the National League after a seven-year absence when they face Brackley Town in the National League North play-off final on Sunday afternoon.
Russ Penn's side thumped King's Lynn Town 4-1 in the semi-final last weekend to book their spot in the final, whilst Brackley edged past Chester 1-0 in the other semi.
The pair will now go head-to-head at St James Park for promotion into the fifth-tier of English football.
Harriers will be looking to maintain the incredible form that carried them into a play-off spot in the first place. Harriers won their last six regular season games to squeeze into the final play-off spot in the National League North, before they beat Alfreton Town 1-0 in their play-off eliminator match.
Harriers then swept King's Lynn aside on Sunday to reach the final, making it eight wins on the spin, with six of those wins coming with a clean sheet.
As for Brackley, they rather stuttered into the play-offs after losing four of their final six regular games in the 2022/23 season. They then required a penalty shootout to beat Gloucester City in the eliminator before edging past Chester last weekend.
So the form books would certainly support claims that Kiddy are favourites but home advantage certainly plays into the hands of Brackley.
Only 700 tickets were given to Kiddy supporters for the final at St James Park, meaning some season ticket holders missed out on being involved in the action. Those tickets were snapped up in, as you would imagine, no time at all.
But those unable to attend the stadium are expected to pack the Aggborough Suite back home in Kiddy, as well as the Harriers Arms, with the game live on BT Sport
But regardless, those 700 will create a terrific atmosphere, just as they did last weekend, as they look to try and help Kiddy reach the National League.
Kick-off on Sunday is 3.30PM
