A SECOND consecutive treble season remains on the cards for Pershore Town, with one more trophy still to play for.
The Plums play Coton Green in the Smedley Crooke Memorial Cup semi-final on Tuesday, looking to reach yet another final this season.
Danny Janes' side made it a league and cup double this week, beating Lydney Town 5-0 in the Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup final, adding to their Hellenic League Division One league title.
Last season, Janes' first as boss, Pershore won three of the non-league cup competitions; the Smedley Crooke Cup, Worcestershire Senior Cup and the Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup, and now Janes' side are potentially two games from doing the treble again.
Janes' has always been motivated to push his players on despite any previous achievement but is appreciative of how good his side have been this season.
"To win a League and a Cup is a phenomenal achievement. The players are a credit to the club and they love delivering for those loyal supporters," he said after the cup win on Monday.
"We aren't finished yet; it might be the end of the season for most clubs but we are still fighting."
Pershore will play either Fairfield Villa or Lye Town in the final if they do progress on Tuesday. That other semi takes place on May 13.
