WORCESTERSHIRE's summer signing Adam Hose starred for Barnards Green in their first-ever win in the Birmingham & District Premier League Premier Division.
Having been promoted to the top-flight for the first time in their history, Green's opening two matches of their debut season have fallen foul to the rain before Saturday's clash with Shrewsbury.
And Hose, who signed for Green on a dual-registration agreement with the County Championship side, hit four sixes and five fours in his 75-ball knock after coming to the wicket at 34-2. He added 80 for the fourth wicket with former Worcestershire player, George Rhodes, who made an unbeaten 102.
Barnards Green totalled 277-8 from 50 overs, with Worcestershire academy player Rehaan Edavalath being dismissed earlier in the innings for 10.
Rob Foster's battling 65 gave Shrewsbury some hope in the reply but they were eventually bowled out for 168 inside 39 overs, falling to defeat by 101 runs.
Green's Jack Mackintosh was the pick of the bowling attack, taking four wickets for 37 runs. Rhodes produced figures of 2-13 and Josh Blunt 3-61.
The 20 points for Green means they sit fourth with 30 points from two abandoned games and one victory.
There were other impressive displays for Worcestershire players within the division on week three of the season.
Academy all-rounder Reeve Evitts produced a superb spell of bowling to finish with 5-7 from 5.3 overs in Kenilworth Wardens five-wicket win over champions Smethwick.
Pat Brown (7-1-45-1) claimed the wicket of Worcestershire Assistant Head Coach Kadeer Ali (1) before Evitts ripped through the middle and lower order as Smethwick were dismissed for 137 in 33.3 overs.
Josh Baker then smashed 45 off 22 balls with SIX sixes and two fours after coming in at 14-3 to help Kenilworth to victory in just 27.2 overs.
Taylor Cornall’s fine all-round performance helped Ombersley to a five-wicket win over Kidderminster.
His off-spin brought him a return of 7-1-28-3 as Kidderminster were bowled out for 131 in 46 overs.
Cornall’s solid 41 off 84 balls with four boundaries ensured Ombersley suffered few alarms in reaching their target with 14.2 overs to spare and he put on 49 for the first wicket with Jack Haynes (25).
