CARYS Cox scored three of Worcester Warriors Women's nine tries on Saturday as they beat Sale Sharks Women 51-14 at Sixways in the Allianz Cup.
After a rest through the opening round of the Women's Six Nations, Warriors returned to Sixways with a bang as they romped to victory in their cup play-off clash.
Worcester crossed four times in the first-half as tries from Evelyn Clarke, Cox and two from Carmen Tremelling saw them hold a healthy 29-7 lead at the break.
Charlotte Wright-Haley scored two either side of Cara Brincat's score before Cox scored in the final day to complete her hat-trick and she was beaming at full-time.
"It feels amazing personally but the girls have been working so hard on our attacking shape over the last couple of weeks," she said.
"We put in 100% effort throughout the 80 minutes and that showed with the scoreboard and represents how hard we have worked over the past few weeks.
"To hear our fans nice and loud throughout was absolutely incredible, they are our 24th member of the squad."
Forwards coach Steve Halsey added: "We have been working on that attacking freedom over the last few weeks and you could see that in the tries we scored.
"It was great to put a performance like that in front of our fans, it was a really good performance from the squad, which included some debutants as well."
