PERSHORE Town are potentially 90 minutes away from clinching the Hellenic League Division One title when they host Moreton Rangers on Thursday evening.
Danny Janes' side just need to win the game and they will be crowned champions, which will also mean promotion into Step 5.
Having missed out last season in the play-offs, this season has been Janes' first full campaign in charge of The Plums and his coaching team will be eager to get the job done this evening, with still five league games left.
It should be a routine evening for Pershore on paper, with visitors Moreton sitting fourth bottom in the table having won just seven of their 33 games this season.
They are on a nine-match losing run in all competitions and have already suffered three defeats to Pershore (cup and league) this term and a win on Thursday would be a huge shock.
So it looks set to be a celebratory evening for all of those involved with Pershore after what has been a brilliant season from start to finish.
They remain in contention for a further two cup competitions and after last season's cup treble, could another trophy be added to the cabinet tonight? We will have to wait and see.
